Price of electricity in Finland peaks at 2.35€/kWh today. Keeping my tiny granny cottage warm costs me over 50 euros for a single day. It's negative 25C (-13F) outside.
That massive spike of 50c/kWh at the left looks tiny compared to today even though that's already insanely expensive
Are you joking? €50 (~$55 usd) per day is insane! I don't know what the forecast in Finland is looking like, but there's plenty of winter left to go. This might be the norm for a while.
They've presumably already got electric heat. The only way to make that more sustainable is with heat pumps and/or more effective insulation. Assuming that's not already what they've got.
