Red alert in Antarctica: the year rapid, dramatic change hit climate scientists like a ‘punch in the guts’
Study after study showed the breakdown of climate systems taking place much earlier than foreseen, with potentially catastrophic results

I’ll say it again,
The people that care, can’t do anything about it, and the people that can do something about it- don’t care.
The climate won’t even begin to be repaired until the old guard finally shakes the mortal coil.

No, the people that said they cared are a major contributor to the problem we have now.
The broad public knew about climate change in the 80s. Policy makers knew back in the 70s. We could have curbed emissions using nuclear energy.
But the anti-nuclear environmentalists put on a lot of public pressure and stopped our first chance of decarbonization dead in its tracks.
So, we are now forced to do it with wind and solar.
It's not going to work. We are only slowing our emissions down a little bit and hoping that the technology will become better over time.
10 10 ReplyFinger pointing doesn’t help. I understand the frustration but saying, those people 50 years ago didn’t do XYZ doesn’t do anything either.
4 0 ReplyThe problem is, it's exactly those people (political parties, lobby groups, etc) that are the ones blaming others instead of taking any responsibility.
And even today, they are hypocrites and create a lot of apathy against environmental causes.
