People make it look like it's over for Lemmy, but this is only the beginning. Don't worry, Reddit will fuck things up again. The Fediverse will win in the long run. Maybe Lemmy doesn't have the momentum yet that we want it to have. At the same it's grown so much. I mean, not that long ago there were almost only communists on this thing...
I don't think it's over, I just don't think it will ever take off. I've been lurking for a year or two while I could still tolerate reddit. If the reddit api shit can't get Lenny going, if Elon doing nazi shit on Twitter can't get mastodon going, what does it take? I feel the fediverse is just a safe haven for netizens until social media and the entire internet makes a hard pivot.
