Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.
Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.
Telegram Channels
Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.
Pro-Russian
https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.
https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.
https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.
https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.
Desperately trying to convince liberals that the only moral and practical options for opposing Hamas is to either directly by force stopping the ethnic cleansing of Palestine, or by creating and funding a 100% morally correct and non-antisemitic militia, giving them superior arms and materiel, and then supporting them in a campaign of military violence in freeing Palestine from ethnic cleansing, therefore depriving Hamas of legitimacy and role as primary armed resistance to Israel.
And of the two the former is obviously the more practical.
Liberals get really angry when you insist on conducting discussions and debates in the realm of reality instead of the realm of imagination, and also when you insist on conducting those discussions in the language of practical goals, actions and consequences, as opposed to the language of abstract principles and wants.
You must say "I want Hamas to be punished", you cannot say that "The only scenario where you can punish the actions of Hamas in a way that stops the existence of Hamas for good, is one in which ethnic cleansing has first been stopped and there is no immediate threat from Israel that necessitates militant resistance, in that world I support justice being served on Hamas for its crimes."
Its very frustrating because to me this genuinely is not a matter of ideology or opinion, if you discuss the real world you should discuss it in terms of what it would take to actually achieve the goals that are being discussed. Like I'm not just arguing this in terms of Israels crime being greater and therefore it should face justice first, in the most practical observation, you simply just cannot do anything about Hamas while Israels crimes are ongoing and unpunished, unless you wish to commit genocide. Anything that is short of that and that does not solve Israels crimes, will either result in Hamas surviving or a new Hamas being birthed.
The people who have spent nearly two years running PR for Azov and Right Sector aren't actually concerned with Hamas' political extremism, they just hate brown people and want them to die.
Hamas get their power because when you target Palestinians according to ethnic and religious identity, naturally they are going to rally around their ethnic and religious identity as a focal point for resistance.
The way to disempower the right wing radicals of Hamas is to stop targeting and oppressing Palestinians according to their ethnic and religious identity.
Basic dialectics. The way to liberate Gaza from Hamas is to support Hamas in liberating Palestine from Israeli oppression. When the boot of Israel is removed, the justification for the existence of Hamas right wing militarism is also removed, and it will then wither.
