  • High CO2 levels are known to negatively impact the brain's ability to think and feel.

Just something to think about. 😊

    • Iirc a Harvard study about 10 years ago found cognition began to be hindered at about 500ppm, with the insides of skyscrapers getting around 2000ppm.

      • We're getting pretty close to 500 ppm these days...

        • Yeah, and that's just outside. Interiors of homes are almost certainly at least 800ppm or so.

          • I stopped doing it for some reason, but when I lived in another home I used to keep all my windows open at all times, just slept with the ceiling fan. I was doing it with the purpose of keeping CO2 levels low because I knew of the effect it had on cognition. That was during lockdown and college was online at the time, so I feel like it may have made a difference in helping me stay on top of things while doing online learning. At least there was a placebo effect from knowing I was doing something that would give me a leg up.

      • Yeah, and indoor air circulation isn't getting any better. As atmospheric concentrations increase, indoor concentrations will also increase many times over.
