Most people don't have the resources necessary to move up the street, let alone to another country. And both Canada and Austrailia are significantly harder to legally emigrate to than the US. The people who have the resources to do that on a whim are probably the ones who have to worry about Trump's agenda the least.
I would if that was an easy option but as of yet no one seems to be taking in US "refugees" nor do they have much sympathy for nor want them.
I'm past my prime with cancer. They just view me as a foreign drain on their system. I don't pass the basic immigration demands because I am poor and don't bring anything to the table economically.
I guess everyone with money and ability to move can find comfort in leaving folks like me behind to die.
Yeah, the whole no public charges thing I think all countries have will lead to a lot of people with disabilities dying when Medicaid is cut off, if not a repeat of Aktion T4 in the USA. I don't see a good future for anyone disabled in the USA. The situation is grim, at best.
Can't afford to leave. Absolutely going to be a target to be disappeared as a gay guy if even half the shit from project 2025 is true.
I don't even want to stick around for much longer anyways, but I wanted to at least make sure my mother didn't have to bury a child before checking out. I just want to be left alone to suffer in peace, have her cremated, and then blow my own brains out, and I might not even be allowed to do that if Trump gets elected.
