My wife and I started to enjoy this show initially but some of the age gaps raised some eyebrows and we dropped it
- I haven't started this yet. What kind of age gaps?
  
  One of his "girlfriends" later is...14.
  Edit: ICK. One of his cousins later becomes one.
  She is 12.
  ......
  
  Oh jeez. That's worse than I thought.
  
  And the subreddit is completely okay with this. They're like "oh he HAS to date his cousin because she will die..." "It's fiction" "it's a harem anime, incest was expected" etc
  Without ever stopping to think...you know the mangaka could have just said "no, I don't think I should write that?"

  I think no one really pays attention to fictional age in anime. People tend to enjoy the show.
  
  The biggest age gap is between the MC, aged 16 and his 89 year old girlfriend, who is the grandmother of his other girlfriend. As you can see, this series takes itself very seriously.
